Who is Allah?

Allah is the Arabic word for God, the One and Only Creator of the universe. He is the same God worshiped in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. In Islam, Allah is unique, eternal, and has no partners, children, or equals.

1. Allah’s Nature in Islam

  • One and Only – There is no god but Him (Tawheed – Oneness of God).

  • Eternal & Uncreated – He has always existed and will always exist.

  • All-Powerful (Al-Qadir) – He controls everything in the universe.

  • All-Knowing (Al-Alim) – He knows everything, past, present, and future.

  • Most Merciful (Ar-Rahman) – He is compassionate and forgiving.

  • Just (Al-Adl) – He is fair and will judge all deeds on the Day of Judgment.

2. The Quran’s Description of Allah

Allah describes Himself in the Quran, the holy book of Islam:

📖 “Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is He begotten, and there is none comparable to Him.”

(Surah Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4)

📖 “Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.”

(Surah Taha 20:14)

3. The 99 Names of Allah

Allah has 99 beautiful names that reflect His attributes, such as:

  • Ar-Rahman (The Most Merciful)

  • Al-Ghaffar (The Forgiving One)

  • Al-Wadud (The Loving One)

  • Al-Malik (The King & Ruler)

  • As-Salam (The Source of Peace)

  • Dua (Supplication) – Calling upon Allah for help, forgiveness, and blessings.

  • Reading the Quran – Understanding His words and commands.

  • Being Kind & Just – Living in a way that pleases Him.

5. Difference Between Allah & Other Gods

  • No Trinity – Allah is One, not divided into parts or persons.

  • No Physical Form – He is beyond human imagination and not limited to any shape that we can imagine.

  • No Human Attributes – Unlike idols or human-like gods, He is beyond comparison.

Conclusion

Allah is the One True God, the Creator, and Sustainer of all existence. He is Merciful, Just, and All-Powerful, guiding humanity through the Quran and His prophets.

Would you like to learn more about how to connect with Allah? 😊

There comes a time in every person’s life when they feel lost, as if something is missing, yet they cannot quite name it. No amount of wealth, success, or worldly pleasure can fill that void, because as human beings, we are more than just bodies and minds—we have a soul that longs for its Creator. Just as our bodies need food to survive and our minds need knowledge to grow, our hearts and souls need a deep, meaningful connection with Allah to truly feel alive.

This emptiness you feel is not a flaw; it is not a weakness. It is a sign—an inner calling from the depths of your soul, reminding you that you were not created for this world alone. No matter how far you have strayed, no matter how much you have searched for fulfillment in temporary things, your soul will always yearn for something greater, something eternal. That yearning is a mercy from Allah, a reminder that He has never abandoned you, that He is always near, waiting for you to turn back to Him.

Many people spend their entire lives chasing happiness in wealth, status, or relationships, only to find themselves feeling even more empty, even more lost. The truth is, the heart will never find peace in anything other than the One who created it. Only when you reconnect with Allah—through prayer, remembrance, and seeking His guidance—will you finally feel the tranquility and fulfillment that nothing else in this world can offer. Because true success is not in what we own, but in knowing our purpose. And the greatest purpose of all is to know and worship the One who brought us into existence, the One who loves us more than we can ever comprehend.
